The purpose of ProductPlan's policy is to establish a standard expectation for implementation for ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) that produces software that is accessible, and compliant with modern accessibility standards, policies, and practices.

At ProductPlan, we take the responsibility to make our products accessible to all by standardizing our colors to meet WCAG 2.0 Color Contrast requirements.

The ratio between background and foreground is at least 4.5:1, which is in line with ADA standards.

We also include an auto-contrast feature for custom colors. So no matter what color the user chooses, the algorithm we have in place determines whether the text on the bar, lane, or container should be white (#FFFFFF) or black (#000000).

We recommend considering these elements, particularly when choosing your Legend colors, as this is often the biggest visual impact of a roadmap. Please reach out to your dedicated CSM or our support team for further discussion and recommendations on your roadmaps.
