Drag and drop components directly onto your roadmap.
Adding Bars to your roadmap is the best way to get started. A Bar can represent an initiative, an epic, a release, or any type of project. Add a new Bar to your Roadmap by dragging and dropping from the Add Bar icon in the toolbar. A minibar details menu will automatically open. Within the quick edit menu, you are able to change the title, description and add tags. If you wish to add more details in the full bar details, click More Options. To resize a Bar, you can drag it from either the right or the left side.
You can also quickly create a new Bar of any color by dragging the color from the Legend to an empty space on the roadmap. You can also recolor a Bar by dragging any color from the Legend onto an existing Bar.
Right-click on a Bar for more options:
To edit a Bar’s title and other information, click on it. Add details to your Bar in the different description fields. Viewers of your roadmap will see the details that you save to Bars. All editors of a roadmap can make changes and add details to Bars.
Editing Dates (with integrations)
If you are integrated with Jira, ADO, or Pivotal Tracker, and have already imported, you will have a bit of flexibility in editing synced dates.
When the details screen appears after clicking on a bar/container within your roadmap, you will notice the date range fields are illuminated where you can enter and/or update dates without having to open and close the plug/sync.
Upon selecting “Save”, a red notification will appear next to your active integration(s). Once, you sync the updates you will receive a confirmation message.
This same capability applies when editing dates by dragging and dropping in timeline or list views.
Note: Related to keeping your roadmaps high level, be sure to limit your roadmaps to no more than 400-600 bars for the best performance.
