Using SSO for your team in ProductPlan requires an Enterprise Subscription. To set up your single sign-on integration with Google Apps, please contact support@productplan.com and complete the following steps:

  1. Your Google Apps for Work administrator will need to provide us with your IDP metadata.
    - Login in to the Google admin console.
    - Navigate to Apps>SAML Apps.
    - Click the yellow “+” button in the lower right and select “Setup my own custom app”.
    - Select option 2 to Download the IDP metadata and send it to us.
  2. Once the metadata file has been downloaded, you will need to complete the following steps to include the ACS URL, EntityID and map the custom SAML attributes provided by ProductPlan:
  • Login in to the Google admin console.
  • Navigate to Apps>SAML Apps.
  • Click the yellow “+” button in the lower right.
  • Choose Setup my own Custom App, and click Next.
  • Enter the Application Name, ProductPlan and a Description of your choice, and upload the logo provided by us, and click Next.
  • Add the following ACS URL: https://sso.connect.pingidentity.com/sso/sp/ACS.saml2?saasid=72a035e2-0939-4685-aa8a-8c731729298b
  • Next, add the Audience URI (SP Entity ID): PingConnect
  • Leave Start URL blank, unless required.
  • NameID will automatically be set to the Primary Email address. Click Next.
  • You will need to update the Custom SAML Attributes to properly authenticate users. Please Note existing ProductPlan users must have their Primary Email match their account email. The attributes companyName and fullName are required but can be mapped to any value. One example is to use First and Last name as outlined below.
    emailAddress = Primary Email
    companyName = First Name
    fullName = Last Name
  • Once you’ve mapped these out, select Finish.
  • Click OK on the final step of the wizard.
  • By default, new applications are “OFF for all users“. You can click the menu icon and choose ON for Everyone.

After configuring, you should see the ProductPlan app logo in the quick launch:
