An Admin can set up the integration using their own Jira credentials.  1. Click on the Manage Products tab in the navigation menu. 2. On the Manage Products page, click on the Integrations tab. 3. Select the Jira projects to sync information from, then click Next. The field mapping table will display the base ProductPlan fields by default (Title, Description, Start Date, End Date). 8. Click the Add Fields button at the bottom of the table to add additional base or custom fields, or to create a new custom field. - To map Percent Complete, add the field to the mapping table and select Aggregate of Status Category. The Jira Status Category drives percent complete updates. The calculation of parent items is based on the direct child items in ProductPlan. Stories are calculated as follows: - Not Started = 0% - In Progress =  50% - Done = 100% ![](https://support.productplan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-01-2026-05-36-19-3435-PM.png?width=670&height=428&name=image-png-Oct-01-2026-05-36-19-3435-PM.png) 9. For each project, set the desired Jira field to map to the corresponding ProductPlan field. You can map different fields per project to the corresponding ProductPlan field. - When mapping custom dropdown fields, click the arrow next to the field name to display the dropdown list. For each field, set the sync direction: - One-way (single-direction): If this option is selected, the sync direction is one-way and only pulls information from Jira into ProductPlan, keeping Jira as the source of truth. - Two-way (bi-directional): If this option is selected, the field syncs in both directions. Information can be pulled from Jira, or pushed from ProductPlan to Jira. The following field types support bi-directional syncing: - Text fields - Date fields - Numerical fields - Tags/labels - Single-select dropdown fields - Multi-select dropdown fields - With either option, the sync is real-time and automatic. Fields that sync one-way from Jira to ProductPlan will be automatically updated in ProductPlan based on the latest updates from Jira. Once your field mapping is complete, click Next. 12. Your Jira Cloud integration has been successfully configured. 13. Next steps: - To start pulling information from Jira into ProductPlan, click View Products to navigate to the Manage Products page and select the specific product you would like to pull information into. - Within the product's Integrations page, define a saved Jira query to import items into your product's backlog. - Please see [Product Settings | Integration Import](https://support.productplan.com/roadmap-data-source-import?hsLang=en) for instructions on these steps. ![](https://support.productplan.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Oct-01-2026-03-30-15-0015-PM.png?width=670&height=617&name=image-png-Oct-01-2026-03-30-15-0015-PM.png)     ### **Deleting a Jira Cloud Integration** The Jira Cloud integration is account-wide, so deleting the integration will delete it for everyone in the account. When an integration is deleted, everything associated with the integration is deleted: - Product-level configurations are deleted - Account-level field mappings are deleted Items that originated in ProductPlan are preserved, but their Jira integration link is severed and removed.  Account Admins have the ability to delete the integration, if desired. 1. Navigate to the Manage Products page. 2. Click on the Integrations tab. 3. Click on Jira. 4. Type in the confirmation, then click Delete.
