Strategic Portfolio: Filter by Tag

ProductPlan now supports filtering by Tags when defining the data included in a Strategic Portfolio.

Editors can use tags (alone or in combination with other filters like Objectives, Initiatives, Roadmaps, and custom fields) to precisely define which bars and containers should appear in their portfolio view.

Filter by Tag in Strategic Portfolio

To filter your roadmap data by Tag:

  1. Click on ‘+ New’ and select Strategic Portfolio to create a new Strategic Portfolio from your Roadmaps dashboard:

Or, open an existing Strategic Portfolio and click on the gear icon to edit it:

  2. In the Display data tab, add a dataset:

Adding Tag Values

Editors can add Tags to any roadmap items (bars or containers), as long as they have edit access to that roadmap.

To add a new tag to a bar or container, begin typing in the Tags field. You’ll be able to add a new tag or select from the dropdown:

Managing Tags

Account admins can modify the values that appear in your Tags dropdown list.

To manage your Tag list, click on Account in the bottom-left settings menu:
mainmenu-accountsettings

Click on ‘Standardize’ and ‘Tags’:

From this list, you’ll be able to create a new tag, merge existing tags, and delete tags.

Full details for managing your tags are available in this overview.
