Get an overview of all of your Planned or Parked items in one place with the Table Layout.
The Table Layout option gives users the ability to see an overview of all of their roadmap items in one place.
Navigate to your roadmap's Table Layout by clicking the table icon in your roadmap header.
Once in the Table Layout section of your roadmap, you can choose whether you want to view either Planned or Parked bars.
Planned bars are any of the in-flight items currently on your primary Timeline and List View. Any time an item gets added to your primary view, they will appear under the planned area of your Table Layout. You can also add new bars or containers to your planned section.
The Parked section represents initiatives not on the roadmap. This area is primarily used in relationship to Opportunities from the Discovery space, integration imports and a kind of backlog. It's a great place to store future items for prioritization or paused initiatives. For more information on managing your roadmap's backlog click here.
You can then bulk add bars inside a desired containers. To do this, select the bar (or bars) you wish to add. Next, choose the Actions dropdown option, and finally click Move to Container. From there, you will select the container you want to move the bar(s) into.
From the Table view, you're able to reorder, remove and/or add columns. To do this, click Edit Columns from the top right-hand corner. The below screen will appear. You'll be able to customize the Table view based on your needs. You can customize which columns you want to appear in your planned and parked view. You're able to reset to the default settings at any time. The column ordering will be consistent across the primary, custom and planned/parked views.
If your account is utilizing Custom Fields, you will have the option to display those in the table as well as an item's Prioritization Score.
You can custom order the roadmap initiatives within the Table view. Custom ordering allows you to drag and drop bars and containers in your Table to a desired order. In the example below, you’ll see Initiatives 1-5 have been dragged in numerical order for the custom sort:
If you then want to sort by Lanes (or any other column), you can do so without losing your custom sort. You’ll see a new option appear in your tool bar that will allow you to revert to your custom sort by clicking the X. You'll see the initiatives go back to their original numerical 1-5 order:
Additionally, you will also have the ability to reverse the order or even set the new sort as your new custom order:
From from the planned and parked sections, editors are able to export roadmap data at any time. Keep in mind, this will only export the columns you have visibly checked. There are a few columns that will not export (even if you have them checked). These items include connections, custom dropdown fields and links. Similar to filtering your live roadmap, you can filter the planned and parked sections of your Table Layout. You can create a personal filter which lets you adjust your view of the roadmap, or you can even create new custom view and save that. The saved view will be visible to your teammates the roadmap has been shared with.
Just like the other roadmap views, you will be reminded that your Table Layout has a personal filter on when you see the Filter bolded with a dot next to it.
From your personal filter in your Table Layout, you can take it one step further to create a new custom view. Once you have selected the items you want your custom view to show, click Save as New View. Be sure to give it a title, description and adjust the layout if needed, then click Create.
You will then see the new custom view in your roadmap dropdown menu. In the example below, a filter for the Lane Web Team was applied to the Table, from there, a custom view of the roadmap was created.
Table layout filters will also be accessible from an existing custom view and will respect any filters applied to your custom view of the roadmap. In the example below, you'll see there was an existing List View filtered to show only the Mobile Team. From that custom view, you can access the Table layout and see that the filter is still correctly applied:
For Professional and Enterprise accounts, Portfolio Table View gives you another format to manage your roadmap data. You’re able to toggle between the planned and parked sections to see multiple roadmaps combined into this Portfolio Table Layout.
The columns can be reordered in the portfolio view Table view.
