Sharing Your Roadmap

You can securely share your Roadmap or Version by inviting people from the Share dialogue.

You can securely share your roadmap or version by inviting people from the Share button. Share is located in the righthand navigation menu.

After selecting Share, you can search team members’ names to see if they already have a ProductPlan account. You'll then determine roadmap Edit or View access. If they do not have a ProductPlan user account, you can invite them using their email address. The new user will receive an invitation to create a View Only ProductPlan account. If you’d like to add a user to your organization’s ProductPlan account, please contact your subscription Admin. This will be done at the account level.

Editor access allows users to edit roadmaps where editor access has been granted. Editors can also create their own roadmaps. Viewer access allows users to view and comment on roadmaps they’ve been invited to.

If you are an editor on a Professional or Enterprise plan, you can share a roadmap with your whole account all at once. Just select an option from the dropdown after Everyone at [Your Company Name]. You also have the option to share your roadmap with a specific Team set up by your account admin. Professional accounts can have up to three teams and Enterprise will have unlimited.

Roadmaps are private until shared. All members on your plan have the potential to view or edit the roadmap. This depends on the type of permission between account admin, team admin, editor and viewer.

You can also share your roadmap by creating a Private Link – a Private link does not require a viewer to sign in to view your roadmap.

You can also embed private links on a webpage (or in Confluence) to give quick access without requiring users to log in. Sharing the web based roadmap is the best way to keep your team up to date with the latest changes. Embedding directly in Jira, ADO, MS Teams tabs and Confluence are the most popular places for the roadmap embed.

Additionally, Roadmaps may be included in a Folder and shared among your team. Please refer to Creating a Roadmap Folder
